Welcome to the First Edition of the Martin Family Newsletter!

Brought to you by the 2025 Family Reunion Planning Committee

We Cannot Wait to See You!

Hello Family!

We are eagerly looking forward to our upcoming reunion weekend! As the planning committee, we represent the fourth generation of descendants from our beloved great-grandparents, Richard and Eva Martin. Many of us grew up attending the reunions organized by our parents and enjoyed countless gatherings that brought our family closer together. We come from a tight-knit family with a strong spiritual foundation, and now it’s our turn to honor that legacy. Let’s show our children the beauty of the family they come from!

The committee consists of grandchildren from the legendary 13 children of Eva and Richard Martin.

We’ve come together over the past 8 months, working rigorously to plan an unforgettable weekend for everyone. Saturday and Sunday events are already set in stone, and we’re putting the final touches on Friday’s Meet & Greet. But don’t worry—we’ll have all the details finalized in time for you to make any necessary arrangements.

The family reunion website has been updated with all the important information. You’ll find hotel and Airbnb recommendations, plus access to order Martin family merchandise and purchase tickets for the formal dinner. Please note: a limited number of dinner tickets will be available, so we encourage early purchase.

We’re beyond excited to reunite with everyone and will keep you informed with monthly newsletters as we count down to the big weekend. Now, please allow us to introduce ourselves...

Introducing the Planning Committee

Hey, what’s up fam! It’s Ryan Gordon. John “Apple” Gordon’s youngest biological and one of the many Grandchildren of the very beautiful Jean Gordon.

What does the Martin legacy mean to me?

Everything! It’s why I have a relationship with my GOD JEHOVAH! I’m very grateful for my Great Grands, the 13 and my parents. So many beautiful examples of faith, love, endurance, patience and I can keep going on, and on.

Our spiritual background is what I treasure most. I'm excited to be on the committee for this year's reunion and I can hardly wait to hear the laughs & see the smiles & tears on all our faces. Looking forward to making lasting memories with my family! - Terre

To you, my family, who are reading this, I hope you are doing well. Some of you may or may not know me. My name is Dawn Jacobs. I'm the daughter of Robin Martin and granddaughter of Cecelia Martin aka "Sissy".

The Martin legacy reflects on a lot of generational memories of heritage and beliefs. The Martin Legacy offers wisdom and advice for future generations. Our legacy highlights family traditions, memories of family members, and those who are no longer with us. Growing up, I remember the importance of family and the extended family. Most importantly, learning about our spiritual legacy (JW). I look forward to seeing everyone! -Dawn

Welcome to your Martin Family Reunion…I personally am so looking forward to seeing, meeting, hugging, laughing, crying (happy tears), catching up, encouraging you & being encouraged by you.

I’m the first-born daughter of John (Apple) Gordon as well as the first born grandchild & granddaughter of Jeanne Gordon.

Keeping it 100- this moment may not come again till “the New World” (of which it’ll be a true “reunion” with ALL of our loved ones AWAKEND joining us) & we ain’t gotta pay for the location next time!!

We now have new spouses and 5th,6th & 7th generation Martins who will meet their family for the 1st time. Do you know the history of our Spiritual Legacy? Are you ready to learn of Richard & Eva’s intro to this Spiritual gem ? What were they like? So much to be learnt..so many questions to be asked? See everyone in August for the answers! - Felice
